The development of Nita’s Glow is a testimony of God’s creativity and goodness of how HE can be glorified during difficult times.  I have always been fascinated with the home; especially the woman’s role in making her home a sanctuary.  However, after retiring from an institution of higher learning with a 30 year successful career as a tenured faculty member and administrator, I begin to pursue new, creative interests.

 

During this time period in 2012 my brother, Larry Roland, had been diagnosed with colon cancer, and I begin to attend chemotherapy sessions with him. I believed my role was to encourage my brother and others living with cancer, but God had a greater plan for me.  I was introduced to jewelry design in the chemotherapy unit.  Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think about creating jewelry, or about the various ways gems and beads could be incorporated into designs for the home. But more importantly, it gave me an opportunity to gain further clarity about how to expand my passion for the home by becoming a home sanctuary wellness life coach, and developing interactive curriculum activities to promote making your home a sanctuary; a pleasing place of ministry.
